"Thank God for Kids...Amen"

Psalms 127:3 Children are a gift from the Lord. Babies are a reward

Mark 10:14

"Let the little children come to me. Don't stop them. The kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these little children.

Let the little children come to me
~ Jesus said this.

God made everything and God knows everything. He even knows my favorite color. What’s your favorite color? Surprise! God already knew it!

God knows my name. He even knows how many hairs are on my head. Can you count how many hairs are on your head? God can count every star up in space. He put every one in its place!

God sees me when I go out to play and when I go to bed. He can watch over me because He never sleeps. When I hide in my favorite hiding place, God can find me! Nothing can hide from God.

When a sparrow falls to the ground or when I fall to the ground, God knows! He always knows how I feel. God understands when I feel sad, glad, mad, or bad. He cares when I feel embarrassed, scared, or excited.

Before God made the world, He knew about me. Before I was born, God knew what would happen every day of my life. God knows my name. And He knows the names of everyone in the whole wide world!*

God knows all about us and He loves us . . . even when we do bad things. He calls these bad things sin. Everyone who sins must be punished, but God loves us so much that He did a wonderful thing. He sent His own Son, Jesus, to be punished in our place! Now we can live with God forever in Heaven if we believe and accept God’s gift of Jesus to us.

If you believe these things in your heart, talk to God right now and say, “Dear God, thank You for loving me so much that You know all about me. I know that I have done bad things and I am sorry. Thank You for sending Jesus to take the punishment for my sin. Please come into my heart and help me love You more every day. Thank you Jesus. I love you. Amen.”

Christ was an example to His Children.

Luke 2:51 Jesus went with them to Nazareth and obeyed them. His mother was still thinking about all that had happened.

 John 19:26-27 Jesus saw his mother. He also saw the follower he loved standing there. He said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son." Then he said to the follower, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this follower took her to live in his home.

Children are...

Are a gift from God.

Genesis 33:5 Esau looked up and saw the women and children. He asked, "Who are these people with you?" Jacob answered, "These are the children God has given me. God has been good to me, your servant."

 Psalms 148:12-13 Praise him, you young men and women, old people and children. Praise the Lord. He alone is great. He is greater than heaven and earth.

Children should be...

Brought to Christ.

Mark 10:13-16 Some people brought their small children to Jesus so he could touch them. But his followers told the people to stop bringing their children to him. When Jesus saw this, he was displeased. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me. Don't stop them. The kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these little children. I tell you the truth. You must accept the kingdom of God as a little child accepts things, or you will never enter it." Then Jesus took the children in his arms. He put his hands on them and blessed them.

Brought early to the house of God.

Then they can carefully obey everything in this law. Their children do not know this law. They must hear it. They must learn to respect the Lord your God for as long as they live in the land. It is the land you are crossing the Jordan River to own."

BRING IN THE CHILDREN

These words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children. Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Bring in the children, O bring them today;
Speak to them gently, and show them the way;
Careless they wander, and thoughtless they roam;
Bring in the children, for here is their home.

Bring, O bring the children,
O bring them today,
O bring them today;
Bring, O bring the children,

O bring them in today.
Bring in the children, O seek them abroad,
Win them from evil, and train them for God;
Gladly our mission O let us fulfill,
Knowing that Jesus will be with us still.

Bring in the children, so friendless and poor;
Joy to their hearts will the Savior restore;
Bring in the children, compel them to come;
Jesus invites them, and yet there is room.
