11
This is because the life of the body is in the blood.
And I have given you rules for pouring that blood
on the altar. You must do this
to remove your sins so you will belong to the Lord.
It is the blood that removes the sins from your life
so you will belong to the Lord. Leviticus

Lamb of God
One
day as I read through the story of the crucifixion, I spent
several hours deliberating over the words of Christ when He
cried in anguish from the cross, "My God, my God, why
have you forsaken Me?"
The
idea that the Father would allow His Son to suffer the torture
of crucifixion is beyond me... the humiliation of nakedness,
the searing pain, the smell of blood and sweat, the agony
of tears, the spit of drunken soldiers, the scorn of a laughing,
jeering mob.
When
the crowd thinned and the cowards took shelter from the lashing
storm, Jesus was left alone. As tears mingled with blood on
His battered face, He cried out to His Father--the One who
had not once turned away from Him in all of eternity.
The reply was cold, unmoving silence. In those horrible moments
God Himself poured the judgment for our sins upon Jesus. Every
sin imaginable: lusting and lying... cheating and coveting...
murder and hypocrisy... cruelty and deceit. Of course, Christ
had never been guilty of any of those sins. But we are. And
every one of your sins and mine was racked up on His account
right there on that cross.
Surely
he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows... .
He was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
(As the prophet testified)
(Isaiah 53:4, 5-6)
So where was God's goodness in treating Christ so?Where was
the Father's kindness in turning His back on His only Son
while Jesus cried out in horror and grief?
On
that terrible, wonderful day, God's goodness and kindness
were directed toward you. God forsook His own Son... so that
He would never have to forsake you! And because of those dark
hours two thousand years ago, God can say to me, "I will
never leave you. I will never forsake you."
As
I pondered that amazing thought, I felt ashamed. The goodness
of God was indeed leading me to repentance. To think that
God's anger for my sins was poured out on Christ--and that
He has no anger left for me!
You
know what that makes me want to do? Praise Him. Thank Him.
Honor Him. Obey Him with all my heart and soul and mind.Unlike
Christ, I will never have to agonize over separation from
my Father. And neither will you. God poured the full measure
of His wrath--the terrors of eternal hell--on His own Son...
so that you and I could be adopted into His very family. That's
how much He loves you. And me."If you confess with your
mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God
raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans
10:9).
Dear
heavenly Father, I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I believe
that Your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross in my place for
my sins and rose from the dead to forgive me and save me from
hell. I now accept Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, trusting
Him alone to give me eternal life and a personal relationship
with you. Thank you so much heavenly Father for sending Jesus
for me. I love you. Amen.
That's
not the end though! You need to find that Bible that is somewhere
in your house....is it understandable? If not go get one you
can read....when you do that... read it! In the day and in
the night, so you receive all God has to give you!!! Now ask
the Lord to lead you to the church He wants you to worship
Him at. Talk to Him everyday, all the time! Start out by thanking
Him and then praising Him for the great thing He has done
in you & go on from there....He loves and adores you,
stay close ~ He always wants to hear from you!

lamb of God
When
John saw Jesus...
John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus.
Here Jesus first appears. He was now thirty years old, and
came from Galilee to Jordan to be baptized of John.

Behold
the Lamb of God.
Innocent like the lamb, to be offered as a lamb, led as a
lamb to the slaughter (Isa 53:7).
The lamb was commonly used as a sin offering by the people
of Israel (Le 4:32). God himself said that without the shedding
of blood, there is no remission of sins...
...So
then John points to Jesus as the Lamb of God he can only mean
that God had provided him as a sacrificial offering.
Jesus would take away...
The sin of the world.
Not of Jews only, but of Gentiles.
John points to Jesus as the world's Savior.
Jesus
bears our Sin.
John says it to Him in his first greeting.
these inspiring words as Jesus approaches...Let
us say these same words as we see Jesus approaching us...
the Lamb of God-
the one God-ordained and set apart,
God-gifted sacrificial offering.
that taketh away-taketh up and taketh away.
the chargeable guilt of sin.
In the shedding and sprinkling of its blood he would express
love even to the death. He would save sinners like us by faith
in Christ.
We are to look for the pardon of our sins to Jesus only, and
to his death.
It agrees with God's glory to pardon all who depend on the
atoning sacrifice of Christ.
He takes away the sin of the world;
purchases pardon for all that repent and believe the gospel.
This encourages our faith; if Christ takes away the sin of
the world, then why not my sin? He bore sin for us, and so
bears it from us.
God could have taken away sin, by taking away the sinner,
as he took away the sin of the old world; but here is a way
of doing away sin, yet sparing the sinner, by making his Son
sin, that is, a sin-offering, for us.
See Jesus taking away sin, and let that cause hatred of sin,
and resolutions against it.
Let us not hold that fast to that which the Lamb of God came
to take away.
He
takes away the sin of the world; purchases pardon for all
those that repent (confess and turn from their sins), and
believe the gospel, no matter what country, nation, or language,
soever they be.
